Since version 4.0.2 DOS application in Windows XP guest works poorly

Since I update VirtualBox to version 4.0.4 my DOS tool (with graphics mode) has strange lags. Looks like CPU executes program (or process input) with period 1 second. Because some time program do not acts to any keys, but after can process previously pressed keys very quickly.
Downgrading to 4.0.2 fixes problem.
Tool I run under the Windows XP SP3 guest 9 (x86). Guest Additions installed. Host is Ubuntu 10.10 amd64.

I again recheck all. VirtualBox 4.0.2 and 4.0.0 has same problems. so I think problem may be not in VB...
