#7936 closed defect (obsolete)

Seamless mode guest window dragging error when host taskbar located on the left side of the screen

Reported by: virtualguy Owned by:
Component: GUI/seamless Version: VirtualBox 4.0.0
Keywords: seamless taskbar left moving dragging drawing windows Cc:
Guest type: other Host type: Windows

Description (last modified by aeichner)

When the host taskbar is located on the left side of the screen, in seamless mode parts of old guest window drawings still remain visible although the window has been dragged to another position.

See picture in the attachement!

  • Host & Guest OS: Windows XPsp3
  • This behaviour first occurred in late 3.x.x versions. I can't name an exact version, but all versions prior & including 3.1.6 are not affected.

I only found out about this bug, because I had a similar problem with another application, whose window "jumped" to the right when it got redrawn (with the taskbar on the left). The author of the application fixed this bug in the current version and might be helpful pointing in the right direction. Contact: http://www.mwconn.net

It looks like the same as 7856
But I have multiple monitors, and there is obvious "redraw edge"
