Reconfigured guests with 1xCPU and both work fine.

Updated VB to 3.2.4 and running host, Mac OS 10.6.3, and two guests both 64-bit 2 x CPUs, W7 and Ubuntu 10.04.
So far it is running well; no crashes and performance seems good also; thanks for continuing to enhance and update VB.
Installed 3.2.2 and configured two guests, W7 64 and Ubuntu 10.04 64, both with 2 x CPUs and they are both operating properly for several days now, e.g no freeze, locks, crashes etc. for which 1 x CPU was needed for prior releases.
Will report should 3.2.2 fail but, for now, the two 64-bit guests are operating properly with 2 x CPUs running on a MacBook Pro 13" OS X 10.6.3
