Crash List report of several attempts on Lucid guest
comment:3 by , 15 years ago
I am getting a similar crash. I have a 64 bit XP pro host and I am running a 32 bit Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 Guest.
- I start the VBx application fine
- Start the Lucid VM fine
- It boots fine.
- Log in to VM and it crashes.
I have found through trial and error that if I disable the audio, it boots fine with no BSOD. I can enable the audio and use the "Windows DirectSound+SoundBlaster 16" and it boots with no problem. If I switch SoundBlaster 16 to ICH AC97 -> BSOD. I have the proper drivers installed on the host for the AC97.
By the way I'm running Virtualbox 3.2.4 r62467

That sounds to me like a problem with either XP 64 or the installed audio driver. Which fixpack level is your system on?
