Description (last modified by Frank Mehnert)

My host system crashes with BSOD (Blue screen of death) when booting Fedora 12 guest with enabled audio. When I disable the sound for the guest system it boots and run without problems. Same thing happens with Ubuntu 9.10, and Mandriva One 2010. There is no problem with Centos 5.4. Sound works excellent. These problems started with VirtualBox 3.0.8, version 3.0.6 works OK with enabled sound.

My system runs Windows XP Professional 64-bit with Service Pack 2 and all hotfixes installed. My sound card is Realtek 888 High Definition Audio. Drivers version is 5.10.0.5969 from 28.10.2009, downloaded from Realtek website.
