I cannot access any USB devices in my Windows XP guest -> feature not present in OSE

The User Guide says:
The “USB” section in a virtual machine’s Settings window allows you to configure VirtualBox’s sophisticated USB support.
I don't have a "USB" section in my Virtual machine settings ??

I'm afraid that the OSE version of VirtualBox does not have USB support - you will have to install the version from virtualbox.org for that.
