This has to do with the Mini ToolBar. When it is disabled for the guest system, the mouse works fine in full screen mode.

I can confirm this bug in version 7.0.19 (r163782). Not tested with newer versions yet.

The fix is to stop the machine, go into the settings of the machine and adjust the user interface (last tab in the left panel) by removing the ticks at Show Minibar (=disable the minibar). It should neither be enabled in fullscreen nor in any other display mode. I think it only affects Fullscreen but in my case I had to disable it entirely for the machine. Then the Fullscreen Mouse Integration will be working fine again.

Still happens with 7.1.4 Tested: 7.1.4_SUSE r165100

Also, seems to be related to the issue that the VM Guest screen just goes black when put in full screen, and after that the mouse events disappear.

When disabling mini-toolbar, full screen works normally, and also the mouse events after coming out of full screen.
