VM Window visible although encrypted after wake up

Description

When an encrypted VB guest is in Saved mode and restarted the screen behind the small password window is visible. If there is any confidential information on it someone can see it without having a password. That should be changed.

Resolution: invalid
Status: newclosed

Your VM has just the disks encrypted, and in this mode it is expected behavior that the information from saved state (including the screen content of the VM) is available before the password is requested. Pretending otherwise would be fake security.

If you want more security then you need to enable full VM encryption. Then the screen content of the VM (and the log file content, ...) isn't available when the password hasn't been provided yet. New feature with VirtualBox 7.0.
