broken vmdk after increase size in Virtualbox 7.0.8

Description

I have several VMs with ubuntu 22.04. and 25Gb virtual hdd. I've decided to increate hdd size on one of the vms to 40Gb. I go to Virtual Media Manager, select the necessary drive and chanhe its size. After that I've got an error message while resizing drive or Virtualbox restars. All existing drives are gone from Virtual Media Manager. The VM can't find any boot device. After restarting virtual box I also can't delete VM and can't readd hdd from file

Hi Sergii, I was able to confirm your defect report. Currently, it looks as though the defect is limited to the monolithicSparse VMDK type (meaning only the dynamically allocated, non-2gig split type). Other supported VMDK types are unaffected as best I can tell at this time. I cannot offer an ETA at this time, but I am working on it. Thanks for submitting your report!
