Description
Linux kernel 5.19,6.0 hangs on shutdown (looks up the entire UI, i have to kill the Virtualbox Headless Frontend process to regain usage of the UI).
Happens on both Windows 10 and Debian 11 hosts.
Tried on virtualbox 6.1.36 (and up to 7.0 as of this bug report).
On reboot, I see the following on the console: https://forums.virtualbox.org/download/file.php?id=47260

Hi linuxnerd,
Thank you for the log.
Do you see any difference if you install official Guest Additions from https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/7.0.0/ ? From the log I see that you are running something else.
Do you see any difference if you uninstall Guest Additions?

I switched the storage controller to AHCI and that fixed the issue. Seems like only virtio-scsi is affected.

VirtualBox 7.0.4 was just released and available for download at https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads. This issue should be fixed in this version.
Hi linuxnerd,
Could you please attach VBox.log (preferrably from Debian 11 host) and possibly guest's dmesg(1) output?
