Description
Starting with 6.1.34, EFI (both shell and "GUI") fails to detect non-ESP partitions in optical media. Booting from the media using the included boot loader works. However, it's no longer possible to bypass the boot loader and boot directly from the non-ESP partitions.
I've tested a Windows 10 host with VirtualBox 6.1.34 and 6.1.36. I've observed the problem with debian-11.2.0-amd64-netinst.iso, ubuntu-22.04-live-server-amd64.iso, and FreeBSD-13.0-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso.
This worked in 6.1.32.
It might be the filesystem detection that's broken. The block devices seem to be detected, but the non-ESP filesystems are not mapped.
