I am sorry for this, but if i have to mention something that keeps me away from using virtualbox is the fact that shared folders is a pain in the ass. I wish you guys could let us copy files and just past them in the guest system like in Vmware. I do a lot of software testing, so i need to copy files from my host machine to my guest machine, but shared folders is slow and time consuming. It be nice to just copy the files and be able to past them on the guest machine. I am sure that will make a lot of people happy. Thank you for giving us this great program, but just to make it perfect, try to include that feature that vmware has.

How do you share files between host and guest with VirtualBox currently? The easiest way should be to use the shared folders feature of VirtualBox. Please refer to the user manual. In the past we fixed a bunch of problems regarding shared folders so it should work for most users. Apart from this you can share files through network (e.g. setup a samba server on your Linux host and connect to 10.0.2.2 --- if you are using a Windows guest with NAT on a Linux host).
So what did you try and what did not work for you?
