Ubuntu image fails to load - 'HGCM' (VERR_TOO_MUCH_DATA).

Can anyone provide any information on the following problem and how to correct it? A previously working Ubuntu image now fails to load:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine ubuntu.

Failed to load unit 'HGCM' (VERR_TOO_MUCH_DATA).

Take a look at the "Known Issues" in the ​"Discuss the 6.0.0 release" post.

This ticket is a duplicate of #18263, #18265.

BTW, it's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the ​VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved in the forums, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is a "Duplicate" and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as such.

No, this is not a duplicate of either of the referenced tickets. The former one applies only for VMs using the LsiLogic SCSI/SAS controllers which this VM doesn't have configured. The latter is a release assertion in some other area while resuming a VM. This error happens when loading the HGCM service (maybe related to shared folders), keeping open for now.

But it did remind me of something, and that something is the freshly re-opened ticket #6314. There's a lot of data there too...
