Hello !
This ticket for report a bug between Oracle Virtual box 5.12.10 on Ubuntu 18.04 and Compiz tools !
When Ubuntu 18.04 is set on compiz management, the task bar setting in top of the screen in a virtual machine doesn't appear ! When setting in Marco appearance, it's work fine and task bar appear in the right position in the top of the screen ! For information, this trouble doesn't appear in VMware machines with compiz setting ! Here details of the configuration : Ubuntu 18.04 Virtual Box 5.12.10 r122088 Virtual machine with Windows XP SP3 !

I'm afraid that the core team are not likely to have anyone free to look at this (and most 3D issues in Linux guest) in the foreseeable future. It should be solvable to someone with decent OpenGL programming skills. Anyone with those skills who is interested can talk to us on the vbox-dev mailing list.
