Description
I am using Ubuntu 16.04 with X on Win10 host. It randomly crashes from time to time. I found a remedy. If I select Other 64bit OS from the settings, it does not crash anymore. Below is the Vbox.log file from a crashed machine (after machine was force shut down).

I have the same problem with 5.1.6 version with latest guest tools. But I think going to VM settings -> System -> Acceleration and set 'Paravirtualization Interface' as 'Minimal' fixes the issue. There seem to be a bug in VirtualBox/KVM

I think it is worthwhile to mention that probably the tickets below are related: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/16107 and https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/15525 and here is a forum post about it https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=79595

Could you describe what you mean by "guest crash"? Is there a guest kernel panic? Can you post some screenshot of the guest when this happens?
