Description (last modified by )
Trying to configure a new VM to use iSCSI on my QNAP device. Had a connection problem.
Now when I launch the Virtual Box Manager, the Virtual Box Interface process goes into an infinite loop trying to connect / validate the drive.
Continues to do so even after GUI is closed. Only way to stop is to terminate process. Also because validation never completes, Virtual Media Manager never completes to the point where controls are enabled.
VBoxSVC.log is filled with entries like:
00:00:01.505171 iSCSI: connect from initiator iqn.2009-08.com.sun.virtualbox.initiator:01:192.168.11.3 with source port 49541 00:00:01.505171 iSCSI: disconnect from initiator iqn.2009-08.com.sun.virtualbox.initiator:01:192.168.11.3 with source port 49541 00:00:01.536408 iSCSI: connect from initiator iqn.2009-08.com.sun.virtualbox.initiator:01:192.168.11.3 with source port 49542 00:00:01.536408 iSCSI: disconnect from initiator iqn.2009-08.com.sun.virtualbox.initiator:01:192.168.11.3 with source port 49542

Just checked version 5.0.20 r106931, and problems persist.
- Once a configured, a missing / broken / unreachable iSCSI device prevents any manipulation of any media within the Virtual Media Manager application.
- Continuous repeated attempts to connect degrade overall system performance.
- Log files grow to unmanageable sizes over a short span of time.

Can't reproduce this issue so far. Can you please provide a dump of the network traffic for your affected system?
