Keywords: | host adapter IPv4 bridged | Cc: | |
Guest type: | all | Host type: | Windows |
Description
Starting with 5.0.4 on Windows hosts (tested on Win7 x64 sp1 and Server 2012 R2), a host network adapter that ONLY has "VirtualBox NDIS6 Bridged Networking Driver" selected in the adapter's properties (meaning TCPIP v4 and v6 is NOT selected), this adapter won't show as an available adapter to be bridged in the guest settings.
If you add either IPv4 or 6 to the host settings for the adpater, then the adapter is available to be bridged in the guest's settings.
