Description
Hi, I use VB 5.0.10r104061 on a Windows 7 x64 host. I only have 2 VMs with Kubuntu and Lubuntu hosts so I don't know if my problem is depending on the guest system. When using any of the VMs it's ending at any time and the "aborted" message appears in the VB window. I have asked for help in the forums: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=74573&sid=9f7636c06faeaba703b9c82de9481f1c i have tried to change options in the VMs configurations but no result. I post a log in attachment. Thank you for the help.

Right, this VM crashes during power down, shortly before the process terminates. I saw a couple of similar reports. Are you able to provide a Windows application dump (see here, scroll down to the Windows part).

I've followed the instructions (I even rebooted to be sure of the modifications) but I have no file in the directory, no dump...

Thanks. Same here actually. We have a few reports from local users but even WinDbg doesn't attach to the process ("unable to attach").

I guess same issue as #14785?
To me, it also occurs with various Win guests, and also with late 4.3 builds. 4.3.30 appears to be OK. No memory dumps created either.

It seems that enabling the IO-APIC option (in System) makes the VMs running correctly. Could you confirm?

The IO-APIC setting does not play a direct rule. There is a race which happens independently from this setting. See #14785.
