VBoxManage (Windows) doesn't accept paths with spaces using quotation marks

Description
I need to resize a disk urgently and cannot due to this stupid bug. Can't rename folders and vdi filename to have no spaces as that causes a different error. eg.
VBoxManage modifyhd "Windows 10 (64-bit).vdi" --resize 40960 returns Syntax error: Invalid parameter '10'
