Cancelled Quit leads to VM abort
Reported by: | RJV:B | Owned by: | |

Description
Happened twice to me today:
- hit Command-Q accidentally while working in a Linux VM
- Hit the Cancel button when the "are you sure you want to quit" dialog appeared
- "enjoyed" seeing the VM abort
This is a VM booted off a physical, external USB drive. It seems that the host part of the VM releases control of that disk back to the host as soon as Command-Q is hit (or after the dialog is closed, regardless of the actual return value, which causes the guess to abort because its boot disk is no longer available.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release and provide the requested information.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
Please add a VBox.log of such a VM session as we cannot reproduce the problem. All what happens at HostKey+Q is that the VM pauses and when you cancel that action, the VM will continue to run. The behavior should be reproducible if you pause+unpause the VM.
