Description
I have a 100% repeatable error when running Windows 8.1 Pro with Windows Media Center (WMC) and VirtualBox 4.3.12. I have NO virtual machines running before the problem occurs, so the problem appears to be related to the interface between Windows 8.1 and VirtualBox.
The error report from the Windows 8.1 Pro host is "The exception unknown software exception (0x0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x49205bf8." WMC terminates abruptly at this time. This message will occur in about 4 hours of running WMC as long as the VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter is enabled. WHEN I DISABLE THE HOST-ONLY ADAPTER, THE ERROR NEVER OCCURS. (Note that Ceton InfiniTV6 establishes a virtual NIC with addresses 192.168.200.1 and 192.168.200.2).
I am providing this information in case others have the same problem and wish have it elevated to the attention of the developers.
Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
