Windows 8.1 x64 guest lock up with multiple CPU enabled

Description
Have Virtual Box 4.3.10 r93012 - running on Win7 x64. Guest is Windows 8.1 x64 setup while CPU was 1 and extensions installed. If I change the CPU to 2, 3, or 4 Windows 8.1 won't boot in the VM. Comes up with the ugly blue window with black background, then the little dots start going in a circle but don't make it all the way around before locking up. I need to run win 8.1 in a virtual machine with multi-CPU environment to test a driver.
