Can't turn off VT-x on Mac Lion

Description
I am running 4.2 on Mac Lion 10.8.1 and after upgrading from 4.1.22 I can't turn off VT-n setting persistently. When I uncheck it I get notified that it is not optimal setting. Pressing on OK btn (accepting non optimal setting) and reopening it again always shows VT-x checked. I there a log file that I can attach?

Did you change any other setting? VT-x is required for 64-bit guests and for guests with more than one guest CPU. So please attach a VBox.log file for a VM which you wanted to run without VT-x.
