#21959 new defect
Text in Fusion360 Sketches is Not Rendered
Reported by: | ...andmasterofnone | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | other | Version: | VirtualBox-7.0.12 |
Keywords: | Fusion360 Sketch | Cc: | |
Guest type: | Windows | Host type: | Linux |
Description (last modified by )
Text in Fusion360's "Sketch" tool is invisible. To reproduce: Run Fusion360 in a Windows 10 Guest on a Kubuntu host. 3D acceleration must be on. Start a new Fusion360 design. Start a sketch in the design. Draw some elements which have dimensions. Include at least one driven dimension. Result: The text of the dimensions' labels will be either partially shown, or not shown at all. With the exception that the () brackets for the driven dimension will always be shown. The issue does not occur when VirtualBox's 3D acceleration is turned off.

Please try VirtualBox 7.0.14 on the host with the VirtualBox Guest Additions 7.0.14 in the guest, which have some general improvements regarding 3D acceleration (according to the Changelog).

Thank you. Curiously, I'm not (yet) seeing *any* other defects or artifacts produced by 3D graphics errors. Just that specific missing text in the one part of the one program.

Then you're probably missing only part of the 3D functions the rest of us are missing. ;-) If you think this would help, you can compare some of our logs with yours, the part where detected and not detected OpenGL function are listed. And then you probably would find the one responded to your glitches - this is the function all of us are missing.
It's also interesting to see the OpenGL version of your host. Maybe there is driver / opengl update for your GeForce?
