Description
On macOS Ventura 13.3.1, Linux guests with EFI boot have very very slow screen updates. It is as though the cpu is running at less than 1% of its nominal speed.
Frequent timeouts are being experienced during the guest boot, as shown in the attached screen shot.

I too am experiencing this on Ventura 13.3.1. If I create a new VM and set EFI boot, I can see the first few lines of the UEFI firmware get drawn one line at a time, which rules out anything OS specific. I tried Version 7.0.9 r156991 and the problem is still present there.

@aeichner Thank you for the fix - my Linux VMs are running as expected.

Hmmmm - one minor UI glitch with Version 7.0.9 r157071
When I start the vm with VBoxHeadless, it is putting an inactive VirtualBox icon in the macOS Dock. Not a show stopper but definitely unexpected.

Hello,
We just released VirtualBox 7.0.10. This issue should be fixed in this release. Culd you please give it a try? Packages are available on our downloads page.
Same issue for me with any display options (128Mb for screen memory, VBoxVGA 3D or not, VBoxSVGA). Display line are showed very slow with occasionally horizontal black single pixel lines. Scrolling is also very slow. Unable to use old version of VirtualBox 7.0.x as they crash previous well working VBox Machine running MacOS 10.13 and 10.6. My computer is a low screen resolution (not retina) Macmini8,1 with 32Gb RAM running MacOS 13.3.1 Ventura. Any ideas ?
