I18N progress 2.0

[Dmitry A. Kuminov]

This is a continuation of ticket:234 which is intended for two purposes:

1. Submit new translation source files by attaching them to this ticket.
2. Report about performing synchronization of existing translation source files in the SVN repository.

Step 1 is done by contributors willing to add support for a new language to the VirtualBox product. An accepted translation file appears in the SVN repository and becomes available in the binary builds. Even after that, contributors remain responsible for updating translation files to keep them in sync with updates to the VirtualBox UI.

Step 2 is performed by the translations maintainer at Oracle before a new release (or after a major UI change) to inform contributors that translation files need to be updated.

A separate ticket for NLS mistakes/suggestion has also been created (#4503). Please subscribe to the ticket to monitor new reports (add a comment to do so).

This ticket introduces a switch of VirtualBox GUI from the Qt Toolkit verison 3 to version 4. In particular, this means the following:

1. The primary translation target is the Qt4 GUI. The current location of NLS files for it is ​http://virtualbox.org/svn/vbox/trunk/src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox4/nls/. Note that one day the VirtualBox4 directory will be renamed to just VirtualBox after the current VirtualBox directory is renamed to VirtualBox3. The Qt3 GUI will go away from binary distributions in VirtualBox and stop receive any official support from Sun so the only reason why Qt3 NLS may change in the future and therefore need an update from the translator is either a bugfix of the 1.6 product branch or a contribution to the Qt3 GUI from the community.

2. The tool that needs to be used to work with .ts files from the VirtualBox4 directory is Qt Linguist 4 (you can download the Open Source version of Qt 4 for your platform here: ​http://trolltech.com/downloads/opensource).

2.0 NLS Ready to Translate

The new 2.0 release is expected next week. Please note again that VirtualBox 2.0 and following versions will ship the VirtualBox GUI that uses Qt version 4 and therefore you need to update the Qt4 NLS files, not the Qt4 ones. See comment:1 and also make sure you have read the ​Translating document once more since there are some important updates.

All VirtualBox NLS files (VirtualBox_*.ts) were copied from the Qt3 directory and then syncronized with sources. It means that all existing (and not changed) NLS string should remain intact in the .ts files for Qt4.

However, the situation with Qt4 NLS files (qt_*.ts) is little bit different. We cannot synchronize them with Qt4 sources at the present time and therefore we took the existing files from the official Qt release version 4.3.3 and put them over the ones in the VirtualBox4/nls subdirectory in SVN. The following files were put over:

• qt_de.ts
• qt_es.ts
• qt_fr.ts
• qt_iw.ts
• qt_ja_jp.ts (renamed to qt_ja.ts)
• qt_pl.ts
• qt_pt.ts
• qt_ru.ts
• qt_sk.ts
• qt_sv.ts
• qt_zh_CN.ts

Maintainers of the respective translations should check these files and make corrections if necessary.

The contents of the rest of qt_*.ts files were replaced with the contents of the new qt_xx_YY.ts file that represents an untranslated NLS template for Qt4. Maintainers of these translations will have to translate them from scratch (probably using translated strings from Qt3 version of the .ts file opened in a separate window of Qt Linguist).

There is no qt_ro.ts in the official Qt 4.x distribution. If you have one (e.g. contributed to to Trolltech by someone else), you can use it for VirtualBox too provided that the license of that translation is compatible with our (MIT) license.

BTW, I found the following typos in the en-US strings:

Qt4 Linguist have a little trick: you can open the Qt3 ts file by Phrases -&gt; Open auxillary source, and select a Qt3 .ts file. It doesn't modifies it, just open, and shows a matching translation (if found) between the Source and the Translation part of the editor stuff. I used it well with VirtualBox3-VirtualBox4 migration.

Updates to the Swedish, Spanish, Hungarian translations are merged to SVN.

yeager, please use the Qt4 Linguist application! By using some raw XML editor to update the .ts file you a) break the standard indentation every time (which appears as too many meaningless diffs the maintainer needs to review when checking your update) and b) risk to break the translation by accidentally breaking the markup (HTML entities, extra spaces, line feeds and so on)!

ozzii, your Serbian updates don't merge clearly with the current version of src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox4/nls/VirtualBox_sr.ts from the SVN: please perform a merge on your side, resolve any conflicts and reattach here.

jose1711, the same applies to your Slovak translation. Looks like you took VirtualBox_sk.ts from the VirtualBox directory instead of VirtualBox4. Please take the right file and re-attach.

Ok, great. But please use the current version of VirtualBox_sv.ts from SVN each time you update it and attach here (or use the SVN client to update this file for you as described in the second comment of this ticket) -- there were a few fixes missing in your last attached .ts (don't worry about attaching it again -- just take the current SVN version and continue on it).

I said "there were missing fixes" meaning that I already fixed that when merging it to SVN so it contains the correct version now which you should take for further translation. Two empty country strings are indeed do not need to be translated in your case.

I've added your name and the language name myself but keep in mind that the translation won't be added to the distribution until the amount of translated items reaches the 50% limit (note that you must take both .ts files from SVN and continue your work on them, not on your local copies!). Also, you didn't provide us your email which is a requirement too.

jose1711. I will repeat. The files you attached are kind of wrong: they are from the unsupported Qt3 version of the VirtualBox frontend (i.e. from the src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox/nls directory). You need to take them from the src/VBox/Frontends/'''VirtualBox4'''/nls directory (simply download using these links: ​http://www.virtualbox.org/svn/vbox/trunk/src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox4/nls/VirtualBox_sk.ts and ​http://www.virtualbox.org/svn/vbox/trunk/src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox4/nls/qt_sk.ts if you are unable to work with SVN)! I've merged them to the Qt3 directory though since they belong there. But keep in mind that these updates will not appear in the VirtualBox4 directory, you will have to put them to Qt4 .ts files manually.

We discontinued the support of the Qt3 frontend a while back and now we removed the source code of this frontend located at src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox from the repository. After that, the src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox4 directory was renamed to just src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox.

In other words, now the directory src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox contains the sources of the active Qt4 frontend. The NLS files you need to maintain are located in the ​http://www.virtualbox.org/svn/vbox/trunk/src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox/nls directory.

Hello, I would like to ask WHO is responsible for submitting translation to SVN? I've updated Czech translation for 2.1.x 31. 12. 2008!!! But this update NEVER appears in 2.1.x versions. Why? Whats wrong with this update? Right now there some untranslated strings specially in Wizard sections. So if a BFU starts to use VirtualBox and wants to help with Wizards, there are some English strings, WTF!? Thanks

I am the former polish translator for virtualbox. I am sorry for not updating the translation for virtualbox since the time being, but I was (and still am) busy with my master's thesis research. I came here to say thank you to my successor, as I noticed that starting with version 2.2 polish translation has different maintainer. I am however disappointed (to say the least) by what SirYes says about the quality of my work and the fact he rewrote 40/50% of it. I've spent countless hours on this translation, doing my best to make particularly those very long sentences clear and understandable by anyone (not just tech-savy people) while trying to figure out correct nomenclature and to stick to it over different parts of program. By the diff SirYes supplied I can clearly see that the very most of the changes are _only_ cosmetic, so PLEASE, SirYes, don't make fuss and publicly insult my work by saying it was "poorly translated" (as I am sure it was not ) and that you rewrote ~half of it (as you clearly did not). You may have altered that many lines of the translation but did not rewrote that much - and it makes a huge difference.

It was simple enough to just send me an private email asking if you can handle the translation on yourself, without making up the reasons for overtaking the translation on a public forum.

Anyways, I can see the changes you've done are for better so I wish good luck with translation.

I apologize, your analysis is right. I *felt* like rewriting the translation, because of the need to touch so many strings in a coherent way. And even though the changes may seem minor, they were numerous. I've spent a good portion of my evenings for last three weeks to get the thing updated on time. Some new phrases were so complicated that I needed to contact other Polish translators from Aviary.pl team to agree on the wording (for example: "appliance").

I apologize once more for not contacting you privately, but I was unable to dig out your address like I typically do (.po files encourage pasting e-mails in the header, for example), and I asked here first for permission on 2009-03-13. I hoped that after commenting here all translators would get an e-mail to their mailboxes. Since there was silence I assumed both former translators became MIA and started to work on my own. If you feel insulted then I publicly say I am terribly sorry for the whole situation - and I truly am.

I'm not trying to overtake anything, I know how [we] translators feel pride of the work. Please contact me: <e-mail removed> for further communication, so this channel would stay clear.

I would like to ask the language administrator if it is possible to update the language files when a minor VirtualBox update is published (for example on 2.2.1). Some languages like Spanish, Portuguese, Basque or Catalan have not been updated on the last release and it is so "ugly" to see English sentences on the menus or explanations when using VirtualBox on our language.

Of course it was our fault to not have translated the files on time, but I think it's not very difficult to add them on minor updates.

So its not that easy to keep the translations you do for the trunk in sync with that branch. But I will try to backport as much of your changes as possible.

@Wiseacre: "bucket" refers to a virtual storage unit on a cloud-based bulk data storage service, like ​Amazon S3. Translating it directly may sound a little weird, specially if in your country people already use the term in English for lack of a better translation. Perhaps you should leave it as "bucket" as well?

Please be aware that we have added some strings to VirtualBox which have Plural Forms. This means the translator can give a translation for "%n years" as 1) "1 year" & 2) "2 years". In Linguist such strings contain "%n" & the Linguist ask you for adding more then one variant (Sigular, Plural & maybe more depending on your language). I'm the current Catalan translator and I would like to start a new translation which actually is a variant of Catalan language known as "valencian" (name: Catalan (Valencian); code: ca_VA).

Apps like Firefox, Thunderbird, Kompozer, GNOME and many others have the possibility to choose this variant. The IANA has already accepted this variant (ca-valencia / ca@valencia).

I've already finished the translation. Could it be added to VirtualBox?.

I have added the Dutch translation file to the tree as I wrote in comment 128. Unfortunately I forget to update our ApprovedLanguage file, which is used by the various distro packagers to decide which language is allowed in the final product. I'm very sorry about that. Hi Joaquín,

please use the qt_es.ts which is included in the VirtualBox nls directory. If there are strings not translated, then translate them. I know this is not the one which is up to date or the newest from Nokia, but this isn't necessary. First we ship different versions of Qt ourself on the different platforms and second the different distributions on Linux we support have also different versions of Qt installed. Basically it means I did the following steps:

• converted it to a phrase book using "lconvert -of qph -i qt_pl.ts -o qt_pl-4.7.qph"
• opened the just created Phrase Book in Qt Linguist (as the only phrase book)
• opened the qt_pl.ts that came with VirtualBox
• performed the batch translation (from the Edit menu), after checking all three options
• did some manual fixes here and there (translated missing strings, etc)

Hi,

I've merged Catalan but not Catalan (Valencian). Before doing so, I would like to ask for a change of the language code because it is not "correct" at this moment.

The code assigned at this moment for Catalan (Valencian) is ca_VA, but "VA" doesn't refer to "Valencia" but "Vatican". The main problem is that we have two variants of a language in the same country: Spain, Catalan from Catalanoia region and Catalan from Valencia region.

The OpenOffice.org team has decided to use the alternative locale code: ca_XV until the modifiers sets by the BCP47 (​http://tools.ietf.org/rfc/bcp/bcp47.txt).

KDE, GNOME, Windows and other systems and software already support it. We have already open a bug report on QT asking for the implementation of the bcp47: ​http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-7100

The change of the locale code for the Catalan (Valencian) translation is not really necessary, it is simply imprecise. It would be great if the VirtualBox developers could "push" the Qt team to implement the language modifiers from the BCP47.

Hi, poetzsch,

The official code is ca@valencia, but that's a locale modifier that is not implemented yet. We have already asked for it to qt developers: ​http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-7100

But until they implement it, there is no way to use it. Windows, GNOME and KDE (that use po files) are compatible with this modifier. But software that uses the .ts translation files cannot.

At OpenOffice.org we have decided to use ca-xv and that's the locale that is being used at this moment: ​http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoRelease321

All this until they can implement locale modifiers like ca@valencia. This case is different because they use a different system than .ts files.

If changing to ca_XV is a problem, then we keep using the ca_VA code until modifiers are implemented.

On upload form, you will have a checkbox "Replace existing attachment of the same name", if it is unchecked, the bugtracker automatically makes name of your file to unique in this ticket (with adding a counting number).

I found 1 confusing explanation of translation comments in VirtualBox.ts:

source texts "hard disk", "CD/DVD", "CD/DVD image", "floppy", "floppy image" has comment "failed to mount ...", but these messages are used in dialog "Are you sure you want to release the". So this situation should be mentioned in the comment.

Besides, I tried to produce error "failed to mount", but then don't appeares expected parts of messages above. This comment confused me, because the translation of "hard disk" differs in differs situations in Lithuanian (not like English): "standžiojo disko" (failed to mount), "standųjį diską" (release).

looks like the thing. If the same string is found in the first and second file then the one in the second file will be used according to the help text. Probably best to experiment a bit to see what works best (I would be interested to know too, as this is new ground for me as well) and then when you have something which has as much information as possible to use that. I assume that the output file will contain the untranslatable strings.

Though I dare say that there isn't much need to keep them once you are finished with a translation (and in any case that can be your decision).

Validation check on place marker is toggle in QtL, i saw. Validates after disabeling that check.

In my case many obsoletes became a burden instead of a help (incorrect suggestions), so i removed them.

Translators using above commando's should check against German (=Oracle) and/or template file whether as obsolete marked strings are *really* obsolete. I encountered several strings which were not.

You are right about preferring the VirtualBox_nl.ts 4.1.12 file btw, i'll edit the commando.

The problem seems to be that the strings in SVN differ quite a bit to the ones in 4.1. I'm really not sure how our previous translation manager handled that, but since I am obviously not as sharp as him I intend to switch to keeping the most recent translations from the released version (4.1 just now) on a public web page, updating them in-between releases. I have now updated the instructions on the Translating page (see the difference page for the precise changes). docca, can you check whether your translations are still present in https://www.virtualbox.org/download/testcase/nls/VirtualBox_pt_BR.ts and just need to be confirmed?

To all - are the changes I am suggesting to the translation work flow understandable (and do they make sense to you)?

michael: yes, it was based on SVN. I've reviewed the differences. Apparently lconvert removed some translations, and marked them as "unfinished", but other than that, the number and position of strings are still the same. What exactly was lconvert supposed to do?

Sorry, not lconvert but lupdate. It is (I hope this is correct) supposed to add strings to the .ts file which are missing there but present in the code and to remove strings which are present in the .ts but not in the code (or rather to mark them as obsolete, so that it can use them as suggestions for translating similar text in future). As far as I can see, a lot of strings have been moved to different places in the code between 4.1 and svn, so lupdate on 4.1 sees them in the new (svn) locations in the .ts file, thinks that they are outdated and marks them as obsolete. However, because the identical strings obviously exist at different locations, Linguist will see the obsolete strings and suggest them as translations for the strings.

Was that understandable? I always have the feeling that I am bad at expressing this sort of thing.

To me they are and the do.

Maybe you can add that Qt Linguist is a part of the Qt SDK package (wasn't clear to me when i began) and that the online installer of Qt SDK let you custom choose Qt Linguist out of the package once the installer is running (choose 'Custom') so that you don't have to download the whole (big) xxxMB package for a relative small program. I have spent quite a lot of time finding a Linux version of Qt Linguist, while it was there all the time.

It also needs the gcc-C++ package to be installed to compile.

Sorry, but QT Linguist is quite an advanced tool for translation. I agree that the process needs some polishing, but it's far from "stupid". Perhaps a web front end to download/upload the correct files for translation would be easier and more organized than using SVN+ticket attachments for those that are not experienced with these tools, but that's all.

Actually I have no time to handle it through this clutter. Probably it's better to use translation system like transifex to see untranslated strings for each language and manage it there. Here you may inform us about new releases and approve our license stuff. Michael, is it possible?

As a frequent Transifex user (Fedora Project) -and Dutch translator of the site and interface itself- I do agree nowadays it is becoming a great tool and supports .ts format as well.

Don't know if VirtalBox is considered 'open source' enough for signing up a project under the Free Plan, -personally i think so, just try and see-, do know that Transifex makes the work flow very straight forward. Also informs translators 'autmagically' about resource changes and translation status change (amongst other things). Licensing of translations is also done there, just bind your (VirtualBox) project to a license form, done.

Would make your work a lot easier, Michael.

Translators shall still need Qt Linguist to release translated file to .qm format for checking though. Translation issues still at ticket 4503, np.

Hi Michael, took the liberty to make a test-case at transifex to see for myself:

Again, it is totally free there, no costs (for open source projects, and as VirtualBox states: "..it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2." it qualifies fine there.)

If you click on a translation language it opens a new window with download option (for Qt Linguist use) or online translation (Lotte), amongst other features.

It is quite easy to setup the project:

You could sign up yourself (free), start a project, add resources (VirtualBox_xx_YY.ts and Qt_xx_YY.ts) fill out the rest (name filetype etc etc), than add all the language translations to the resource (only once). Translators of VB should signup to Transifex (as far as they are not already) and request membership of translation team of their language (click on the desired language , option join team). As maintainer you can approve the request. If you do, that translator shall be authorized to update his language. Translators are bound to the license you as a maintainer have indicated when making the project ('other open source' = also GPL, you can even force a specific CLA)

Never had made a project there myself, but piece of cake.

Sorry for the delay in answering. I updated the Lithuanian, Dutch and Traditional Chinese translations - thank you Richard, Algimantas and Alan! (Did I miss anyone?)

Algimantas, I will take a look at transifex when I have time, but if we can't do text strings from the non-FOSS component that may be a bit of a blocker (can't say for sure without checking though - it may be that all of our text strings are in the open source part). I think though that the confusion in this thread was simply a reflection of the confusion in my head as I got to grips with the process, and that it should be past now!

That said, I think that your translation was still based on the svn version, as there were still thirty one untranslated strings in it. I have uploaded the version adjusted for VirtualBox 4.1, including your updates, to https://www.virtualbox.org/download/testcase/nls/VirtualBox_lt.ts - would you be able to take a look at that? Thanks!

michael: i downloaded file from comment 320 with md5sum: b3cec405f90a65c9e7b2b31cb4f3198a opened in qtlinguist and in bottom of screen i see: 1487/1652 so 165 strings is not translated/fuzzy, i don't know there qtlinguist shows statistics about untranslated strings, but there definitely more then 38. tool "pocount"(it understands and .ts files) confirm statistics: translated: 1485 fuzzy: 50 untranslated: 117

Please bear in mind that there are likely to be a number of changes between now and the final release, but I hope (!) that they will mainly be additions and not removal of strings which have already been translated. And of course given that there is quite a lot of new text in there it probably really makes sense to have a bit more time to start. Feel free to submit work in progress if you have translated a reasonable amount, as we may do additional pre-releases.

(And as usual, a confirmation that you are submitting the translation under the MIT licence when you do a new upload is always welcome.)

mmm, i noticed that the files at that location are still the old files, dated '13-Aug-2012', the fully translated 4.2 VB.ts files are not there. Am I missing something?

Daniel, I updated the Ukranian translation with the file you provided - thanks! The version in https://www.virtualbox.org/download/testcase/nls/4.2/ now contains all your updates and all strings from 4.2 RC 3, so you can download that and continue working from there.

I disabled the Basque, Finish, Galician, Khmer, Polish, Romanian, Slovak and Turkish translations for now, as they are less than 80% complete (they are still on the server though) and completely removed the Greek translation (empty) and the Arabic one (unclear licencing).

...but they are not: new VB_nl.ts file should be appr. 482kb, not 470kb. Downloaded VB_nl from https://www.virtualbox.org/download/testcase/nls/4.2/ today to check in QtL. Result: 1263/1726 translated -> should be fully translated 1726/1726 as in uploaded (checked) zip file at comment 357.

Same problem for the Italian translation. My latest commit reports 1722/1722, 1662/1715 the one on the repository.

Correctly updated the files in the directory to what is currently in our repository. Italian is at 100% (curiously, when I grep it I find 18 untranslated strings, but Linguist doesn't report them) and Dutch has nine translations missing. Richard, I will check that I really checked in everything you submitted.

Looks like the nine untranslated strings in the Dutch translation are genuine - your translation contains 1722 translated strings, but when I run it through the updater it switches nine to untranslated again.

The untranslated strings in the Italian look harmless - things which would probably be translated the same as the original, like "SCSI". Search for "<translation></translation>" in the file if you are interested.

Hello, I continue to translate virtualbox 4.2 to Turkish with files which I download from https://www.virtualbox.org/download/testcase/nls/4.2/. I take these two files VirtualBox_tr.ts and qt_tr.ts. When I downloaded VirtualBox_tr.ts file, it's date on site is Sep. 6th. But now it is Sep. 7th. Is it problem to work over Sep. 6th file? Can updates (new strings) be added to my attached files later? There are lots of missing strings of course and also corrections, so it takes some time. Regards

BouRock, yes that is no problem. If possible, provide me with regular updates and I will take care of incorporating them into VirtualBox. It probably makes sense to get updated files from virtualbox.org once I have updated them with your translations and to keep on working with the new files of course, though it certainly won't be a catastrophe if you don't (you will have to get the updates at some point if you want to be sure you have translated everything as we add new text to translate every so often).

michael, I finished VirtualBox_tr.ts file translation but I noticed that during the translation test there are several missing strings which are not available in language files to translate. These are which I noticed (maybe there are more);

-saving the machine state

-saving the execution state of the virtual machine ...

-restoring virtual machine

-merging differencing image '%1'

-taking snapshot of the virtual machine state

-Cloning disk '%1'

-Cloning Machine

-Hard disk '%1' has more than one child hard disk (%2)

-Implementation of the USB 2.0 controller not found!

-Because the USB 2.0 controller state is part of the saved VM state, the VM cannot be started. To fix this problem, either install the '%1' or disable USB 2.0 support in the VM settings (VERR_NOT_FOUND).

Hessam, Burak, thank you! I will upload your translations later. Burak, if you were intentionally marking those strings as unfinished that seems fine to me. I can still count them as finished in my statistics if you like. The current Windows installer language files are at:

I haven't looked at them for a while, but it seems to me that you can start with the English one and modify that to produce a translation.

Burak, I went over those strings briefly with our interface developer. The "statistics" ones are the names assigned to the controllers, and can be changed by the user in the machine settings (don't ask me if that makes sense for the average user). The initial name is given when the machine is created, so if you create new machines those names will be taken from your translation.

Most of the others are internally not part of the user interface - they are messages received from the "internals" of VirtualBox and displayed by the interface. We thought that the best way to solve that might be to display a simple translatable message instead, and show the "internal" messages inside a "details" pane, something like this:

Hessam, I updated the Farsi translation again - thank you! The issues with untranslated text are those which Burak pointed out and which we discussed a few comments above. As that text comes from a different - untranslated - part of VirtualBox it will stay untranslated for the immediate future, but we will look at at least making it look nicer, in the 4.2 series if we manage and later if not. We will also look at putting file names on their own line like you suggested. I noticed a couple of other issues with our right-to-left handling when I took a brief look at VirtualBox with your translation, like the bracket positions in the language selector and the items in the main window which start with a colon (:), continue with the item name and finish with the value. Again, we will look at this when we find time.

About that issue represented in screen-shots of comment 451: This is quite complex to resolve fast as that untranslated English text is coming into GUI from Main (other component which doesn't support translations for now). GUI in that case just reflects incoming text, nothing more. First of all, we should invent some convenient way to make this (and similar) text translated before resolving that issue. So, I think that could be done only to next major release (4.3), not earlier.

By the way, for your information I did a bit of clean-up of the English language text - in particular I changed the term medium to disk image file, the terms mount/unmount for disk image files to insert/eject and the word "displays" at the beginning of many floating help texts for text entry boxes to "holds" (e.g. "Displays the name for this network." becomes "Holds the name for this network."; if anyone has a better suggestion feel free to make it, as I don't quite like it.) For convenience, and because I think this is a matter for the translator to decide anyway, I didn't invalidate the translations for these pieces of text.

• Retrieving the translations will be easier

I'm afraid that it would probably be too difficult to get permission to use Transifex, especially as they would probably be keen to decide that we are not open enough and therefore a paying project. No, the translation in VirtualBox_es.ts.20.zip should be 100% complete, I downloaded and reviewed the file and with Qt Linguist 4 I don't see any unfinished string.

Stoyan, thank you for the update! In fact we had not yet updated the 5.0 translation files with the new translatable text, as there is probably more text to come. Nonetheless I have done that now and the new files are available here:

Stoyan, your changes are in there, but there is now also new, untranslated text in the Bulgarian file. There will probably be more updates to all files before the final release, but feel free to start translating and submitting anyway.

I will only add a few comments here when there are translation text updates so that people who have not yet commented on the new ticket get notified.
