- Installed Android Studio 3.5.2 which in turn installed HAXM 7.5.1: no kernel panics so far
- Still getting above crashes of the VM when inserting or removing the Guest Additions CD image

Got a single, not reproducible kernel panic with Intel HAXM 7.5.1. installed when trying to run a ReactOS 0.4.11 VM. See attached file.

Kernel Panic Crash Log when running ReactOS VM

I believe I mentioned that 7.5.4 is the current HAXM release, not 7.5.1...
Can you try with that?

I don't mess with what Android Studio installs. I need this for production, whereas I need VBox only for occasional tests.
Replying to comment 7 by IOOI:I can't. It wants me to login to Google. What's the summary?
The summary is:
"Intel HAXM v 7.5.1 kext installed by Android Studio 3.5.2 causes Kernel Panics on macOS 10.14.6 when running VirtualBox Reviewed (L1)"
and my report says:

Created issue. IMPORTANT: Please read https://developer.android.com/studio/report-bugs.html carefully and supply all required information.
Studio Build: Android Studio 3.5.2 Build #AI-191.8026.42.35.5977832, built on October 30, 2019 JRE: 1.8.0_202-release-1483-b49-5587405 x86_64 JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o macOS 10.14.6

Steps to Reproduce: All those Java and Gradle configs are irrelevant for this bug, the Intel HAXM kext installed by Android Studio causes Kernel Panics on macOS 10.14.6 when running VirtualBox. Here are my non Apple kexts:

the one of interest here is com.intel.kext.intelhaxm (7.5.1). According to https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=95616&p=463219#p463219 the old version of Intel HAXM is the cause.
Please update the installed Intel HAXM to version 7.5.4 https://github.com/intel/haxm/releases"

"Assigned to lf...@…. Thank you for your feedback. Team may reach out for more feedback in reproducing or triaging this issue."
btw. I don't get why you don't want to login to Google, when you seem to have no problems to login to Oracle. If the later was any better than the former …
