- It's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved in the forums, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is most probably not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".
- You were supposed to follow these steps when you filed the bug, and provide a VBox.log:

When I read your post I do agree, probably the same odd behavior/ source. Has been reported countless times so there must have been some major change in the 6.X versions leading to this.

Added two log files, one of a unsuccessful start up and one of a successful start up. Plus added a file with comments on the two log files.

Excellent, thank you for this piece of information. I'll try to follow the procedure as stated.
However as for the startup issue I've been searching forums and the more all around without any hint on a solution I haven't tried before. Moreover this issue showed up right after update to 6.0 without any further side effect.
I'll try to provide more detailed information on that behavior.
Update 26.04.2019
-> log files attached. -> Installed an run: testbuild 130207 -> no change.
